1. About Us
Lakeland Vans is a UK-based dealership specialising in the sale of pre-owned commercial vehicles.
Our dealership is located in Skelsmergh, Cumbria, and we advertise vehicles on our website as well as on Meta (Facebook), Motors, eBay, and Gumtree.
By purchasing a vehicle from Lakeland Vans, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
2. Vehicle Description and Condition
All vehicles sold are pre-owned and are sold as seen unless otherwise stated.
Every effort is made to ensure vehicle descriptions and images are accurate. However, minor discrepancies or errors may occur.
Mileage readings are correct at the time of listing but may vary slightly due to test drives or movement of the vehicle.
It is the buyer's responsibility to inspect the vehicle in person to ensure it meets their requirements.
3. Pricing and Payment
All prices are listed in GBP (£) and include VAT unless specified otherwise.
Lakeland Vans reserves the right to amend prices without prior notice, except where a purchase agreement has been confirmed with a deposit or full payment.
Payment must be made in full before the vehicle is released to the buyer.
Accepted payment methods include bank transfer, debit/credit card (subject to any applicable limits), and cash (up to £9,000).
4. Deposits and Reservations
A non-refundable deposit may be required to secure a vehicle. The deposit amount will be confirmed at the time of reservation.
If the buyer fails to complete the purchase within the agreed timeframe, the deposit will be forfeited unless otherwise agreed.
5. Test Drives and Vehicle Inspections
Customers are encouraged to inspect and test drive vehicles at our Skelsmergh dealership prior to purchase.
Test drives are subject to the presentation of a valid UK driving licence.
6. Delivery and Collection
Vehicles must be collected from our dealership unless a delivery arrangement has been agreed.
Delivery can be arranged at an additional cost, and specific terms, including delivery times and charges, will be provided upon request.
7. Warranty and Returns
All vehicles are sold without warranty unless otherwise specified. Any additional warranties offered by Lakeland Vans or third-party providers will be detailed in the sales agreement.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, buyers have the right to reject a vehicle if it is not as described, not fit for purpose, or not of satisfactory quality. In such cases, the buyer must notify Lakeland Vans promptly to discuss possible remedies.
8. Advertisements on Third-Party Platforms
Vehicles listed on third-party platforms such as Meta (Facebook), Motors, eBay, and Gumtree are subject to the terms and conditions of those platforms.
While we strive for accuracy, vehicle details and availability may differ across platforms. The most up-to-date information is available directly from Lakeland Vans.
9. Buyer Responsibilities
The buyer is responsible for ensuring the vehicle meets their needs and is suitable for its intended use.
Road tax and insurance must be arranged by the buyer before driving the vehicle.
Buyers must ensure compliance with relevant UK regulations regarding the use of commercial vehicles.
10. Privacy Policy
Lakeland Vans complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and other applicable data protection laws.
Personal data provided by buyers will be used solely for the purposes of completing transactions and providing after-sales services, unless explicit consent is given for other uses.
